There are many ways to win in Magic: The Gathering. Some players mill out their opponents, while others cast a giant fireball for lethal damage. But for many, nothing beats a good old-fashioned attack. Now what if you could win by attacking over and over during a single turn?

Thatโ€™s the idea behind infinite combat combos, and today, I'll go over some of the best that end the game when the right cards are combined.

Intrigued by what those may be? Letโ€™s dive right into it!

What Are Infinite Combat Combos in MTG?

Infinite combat combos let you take an unlimited number of combat phases during a single turn. Normally, players only get one combat phase per turn, but these combos let you attack again and again, often until the game is over.

The key to these combos is finding a way to repeat the combat step. This usually involves cards that give you extra combat phases whenever certain conditions are met, like dealing damage or untapping your creatures.

Infinite turns technically translate into infinite battle phases as well, but I'm excluding those for the sake of this article, along with others that are very similar in the sense of the cards that you need to pull them off.

#15. Stolen Identity + Combat Celebrant + Fervor

Cards โ€“ Combat Celebrant, Stolen Identity, Fervor

Prerequisites โ€“ Combat Celebrant, Fervor, and a creature with Stolen Identity encoded on it are all on the battlefield. The encoded creature and Combat Celebrant must be able to attack without being blocked.

Variations โ€“ Any haste-granting effect can replace Fervor, such as Anger in the graveyard or Mass Hysteria/Hammer of Purphoros.

Execution โ€“ Attack with Combat Celebrant and the creature with Stolen Identity encoded on it. Choose to exert Combat Celebrant as it attacks. When itโ€™s exerted, you get an additional combat phase after this one and untap all your other creatures.

When the encoded creature deals combat damage to a player, you cast a copy of Stolen Identity for free, targeting Combat Celebrant. This creates a token copy of Combat Celebrant, which has haste from Fervor. In your next combat, attack and exert the token copy to repeat the loopโ€”chaining infinite combat steps, untaps, damage, and all related triggers.

#14. Port Razer + Brago, King Eternal

Cards โ€“ Port Razer, Brago, King Eternal

Prerequisites โ€“ Both Port Razer and Brago, King Eternal must be on the battlefield. Port Razer needs haste (like from Fervor or Anger) unless it's been out since last turn. You also need to attack an opponent who canโ€™t block either creature.

Variations โ€“ This is similar to Aurelia, the Warleader + Brago, King Eternal, or even Scourge of the Throne combos. Haste is the key extra pieceโ€”unlike Aurelia, Port Razer canโ€™t safely sit around for a turn in many games.

Execution โ€“ Attack with Port Razer and Brago, King Eternal at an opponent who canโ€™t block. When both deal damage, you get two triggers: Port Razer untaps your creatures and grants an extra combat, and Brago blinks your nonland permanents, including Port Razer. This resets Port Razer so it can attack the same player again next combat. Repeat the loop: combat, extra phase, blink, untap, swing again. Each combat adds another round of damage and any blink-based ETB effects youโ€™re running.

#13. Magar of the Magic Strings + Savage Beating

Cards โ€“ Magar of the Magic Strings, Savage Beating

Prerequisites โ€“ Magar of the Magic Strings is on the battlefield, and Savage Beating is in your graveyard. You have at least 3 mana to activate Magarโ€™s ability. Your opponent must be unable to block and kill the face-down creature.

Variations โ€“ With a bit more effort, you can swap Savage Beating with Brass's Bounty if you have Aggravated Assault. Chun-Li, Countless Kicks can also be used instead of Magar if creatures you control can produce at least five mana by tapping.

Execution โ€“ Pay 3 mana and use Magarโ€™s ability to exile Savage Beating, creating a 3/3 face-down creature. On a future turn, hit an opponent with that creature. When it connects, you cast a free copy of Savage Beating. Choose to untap your creatures and get an additional combat. Then do it all over again: swing, cast, untap, repeat.

#12. Mirage Phalanx + Bloodthirster

Cards โ€“ Mirage Phalanx, Bloodthirster

Prerequisites โ€“ Mirage Phalanx and Bloodthirster must both be on the battlefield, with Phalanx soulbonded to Bloodthirster. An opponent must be unable to block your creatures so the Bloodthirster tokens can safely deal combat damage.

Variations โ€“ Swapping Bloodthirster with Port Razer or Combat Celebrant gives you the same result.

Execution โ€“ At the beginning of combat, Mirage Phalanx makes a token copy of Bloodthirster with haste. Attack with the token; when it deals damage to an opponent, it untaps and grants an extra combat phase. At the end of the combat phase, the token is exiled, and the next combat begins. In that new combat, Phalanx makes a new token, and the process repeats. As long as each token connects, you generate infinite combat steps, ETBs, and LTBs.

#11. Lagomos, Hand of Hatred + Breath of Fury

Cards โ€“ Lagomos, Hand of Hatred, Breath of Fury

Prerequisites โ€“ Lagomos must be on the battlefield, and Breath of Fury should be attached to a creature. The enchanted creature needs to connect with an opponent unblocked.

Variations โ€“ Any repeatable token maker works in place of Lagomos, like Najeela, the Blade-Blossom or Krenko, Mob Boss. As long as a new creature is available to attach Breath of Fury to after each combat, the loop can continue.

Execution โ€“ Enchant a creature with Breath of Fury. At the beginning of combat, Lagomos, Hand of Hatred makes a 2/1 elemental token. If the enchanted creature deals damage, Breath triggers: You sacrifice it, attach the aura to the elemental token, and get an extra combat. In that next combat, Lagomos makes a new token, and the process repeats. As long as each enchanted creature connects, you keep chaining combats, dealing damage, and racking up death/sacrifice/enter-the-battlefield triggers indefinitely.

#10. Aurelia, the Warleader + Brago, King Eternal

Cards โ€“ Aurelia, the Warleader, Brago, King Eternal

Prerequisites โ€“ Aurelia and Brago must be on the battlefield and able to attack. Brago, King Eternal canโ€™t have summoning sickness. Both need to hit a player during combat, so swing at someone without blockers or use evasion.

Variations โ€“ This combo mirrors Port Razer + Brago, King Eternal. Aurelia, the Warleader + Helm of the Host is another popular option. You can also mimic the loop with Scourge of the Throne or Combat Celebrant + Eldrazi Displacer if you have infinite mana.

Execution โ€“ Attack with both Aurelia and Brago. When Aurelia attacks for the first time that turn, it untaps all your creatures and gives an extra combat. Brago hits and blinks Aurelia. This resets it so the game sees Aurelia as a new object. Move to the next combat. Now, Aurelia hasnโ€™t attacked yet this turn (since itโ€™s a fresh version), so its trigger works again. Attack, untap, and blink again. Repeat this loop for infinite combat phases, infinite untaps, and as many ETB/LTB effects as you want.

#9. Rionya, Fire Dancer + Akki Battle Squad

Cards โ€“ Rionya, Fire Dancer, Akki Battle Squad

Prerequisites โ€“ card]Rionya, Fire Dancer must be on the battlefield and able to create a token copy of Akki Battle Squad at the beginning of combat. You need at least one modified creature to trigger the Squad's ability.

Variations โ€“ Rionya usually copies nonlegendary creatures, but it can also copy legendary ones like Raiyuu, Storm's Edgeโ€”youโ€™ll just sacrifice the original to the legend rule so the token can trigger extra combats. Port Razer is another strong option to copy for extra combat triggers.

Execution โ€“ At the beginning of combat, Rionya, Fire Dancer creates a token copy of Akki Battle Squad. When you attack with modified creatures, the Squad token triggers and gives you another combat. In that next combat, Rionya triggers again, making another token. Repeat the loop: attack, trigger, new combat, new token.

#8. Breath of Fury + Goblin Rabblemaster

Cards โ€“ Breath of Fury, Goblin Rabblemaster

Prerequisites โ€“ Breath of Fury must be attached to a creature that can attack this turn, and both it and Goblin Rabblemaster must be on the battlefield. An opponent must be unable to block and kill your attackers.

Variations โ€“ This combo works best in decks that generate a steady flow of token creatures each combat. Any creature that creates tokens at the beginning of combat can serve as a substitute for Rabblemaster, as is the case with Howlsquad Heavy and Legion Warboss. Battle Cry Goblin + Goblin Chieftain/Anger also does the trick, along with Breath of Fury.

Execution โ€“ At the start of combat, Goblin Rabblemaster creates a 1/1 Goblin token with haste. Attack with the creature enchanted by Breath of Fury and let it deal combat damage. Breath of Fury then triggers: Sacrifice the enchanted creature, attach the aura to the Goblin token, untap all creatures, and gain an additional combat phase.

In that next combat, repeat the loopโ€”Rabblemaster makes a new token, the token gets enchanted after damage, and the chain continues for infinite combats, sacrifice triggers, and everything in between.

#7. Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker + Fear of Missing Out

Cards โ€“ Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker, Fear of Missing Out

Prerequisites โ€“ Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker and Fear of Missing Out must both be on the battlefield, and you need at least four different card types in your graveyard for the delirium ability to take place.

Variations โ€“ย  Reflection of Kiki-Jiki and The Jolly Balloon Man can substitute in for Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker, though you need infinite mana.

Execution โ€“ Tap Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker to create a token copy of Fear of Missing Out. When the token attacks and deals combat damage to a player, it untaps Kiki-Jiki and gives you an extra combat phase. In that combat, make a new token and repeat. Each combat untaps Kiki-Jiki and keeps the loop going, giving you infinite combat steps, token copies, and any triggers tied to attacking, entering, or leaving the battlefield.

#6. Aggravated Assault + Natureโ€™s Will

Cards โ€“ Aggravated Assault, Nature's Will

Prerequisites โ€“ Both Aggravated Assault and Nature's Will must be on the battlefield. You need a creature that can attack and deal damage without being blocked, and enough lands to produce at least 5 mana, including 2 red. Everything must be ready to goโ€”no summoning sickness.

Variations โ€“ Nature's Will can be swapped for other effects that untap lands after combat, like Sword of Feast and Famine or Bear Umbra. In green-heavy decks, Druids' Repository is another great option to generate the mana needed.

Execution โ€“ Attack an opponent with your creature. When it deals damage, Nature's Will untaps all your lands. In your post-combat main phase, tap them for five mana, and use that to activate Aggravated Assault. This gives you another combat phase and untaps your creatures. Repeat the process to keep going through infinite combat phases.

#5. Hellkite Charger + Sword of Feast and Famine

Cards โ€“ Hellkite Charger, Sword of Feast and Famine

Prerequisites โ€“ You need Hellkite Charger on the battlefield and ready to attack, either equipped with Sword of Feast and Famine or enchanted with Bear Umbra. You also need enough lands to make 7 mana total, including 2 red. If youโ€™re using the Sword, that mana comes after dealing damage; if youโ€™re using Bear Umbra, it comes as soon as Hellkite attacks. Make sure Hellkite can survive combat and deal damage to a player without getting blocked.

Variations โ€“ Bear Umbra works just as well as Sword of Feast and Famine, untapping your lands when Hellkite Charger attacks. Nature's Will can technically do it too, but it untaps lands after damage, which is too late for Hellkiteโ€™s trigger unless you already have an extra combat to set it up. Some decksโ€”like ones built around Xenagos, God of Revels or Atarka, World Renderโ€”run multiple of these cards for consistency.

Execution โ€“ Attack with Hellkite Charger while itโ€™s equipped or enchanted. As you declare attackers, Hellkiteโ€™s trigger goes on the stack, giving you the chance to pay for an extra combat. Pay the 7 mana to gain a new combat step. If you're using Sword of Feast and Famine, it triggers on damage, untapping all your lands. In the extra combat, attack again, tap lands for mana, and pay Hellkiteโ€™s cost again. Repeat the loop as many times as you want to keep swinging in for lethal damage.

#4. Godo, Bandit Warlord + Helm of the Host

Cards โ€“ Godo, Bandit Warlord, Helm of the Host

Prerequisites โ€“ Godo, Bandit Warlord must be on the battlefield, ideally having just fetched Helm of the Host when cast. You need to equip the Helm to Godo, which costs . This can be done on the following turn, or right away if you have ways to cheat the equip cost like Hammer of Nazahn or Sigarda's Aid. Once Godo is equipped and you enter combat, the combo startsโ€”no other setup needed.

Variations โ€“ This combo also works with Aurelia, the Warleader or Combat Celebrant paired with Helm of the Host, though Godo is the most self-contained version. Some Godo decks use Hammer of Nazahn to auto-equip the Helm and have an Anger in the graveyard to give Godo haste and attach and attack the turn it enters the battlefield.

Execution โ€“ Equip Helm of the Host to Godo, Bandit Warlord and go to combat. At the start of combat, the Helm makes a nonlegendary copy of Godo with haste. When that token enters, you search for an equipment and put it onto the battlefield. Now attack with the token Godoโ€”its first attack of the turn triggers an extra combat phase. After that combat, the new combat begins, and the Helm makes another token Godo.

That one attacks, triggers another extra combat, and the loop continues. Each token gives its own first-attack trigger, creating a chain of endless combats. Youโ€™ll eventually have a massive army of hasty Godos swinging turn after turn until all your opponents are wiped out. Along the way, youโ€™ll also fetch every equipment from your deck and dump them onto the battlefield.

#3. Aurelia, the Warleader + Helm of the Host

Cards โ€“ Aurelia, the Warleader, Helm of the Host

Prerequisites โ€“ Aurelia, the Warleader needs to be on the battlefield and equipped with Helm of the Host. Youโ€™ll need to pay to equip unless you have a way to cheat it on. As long as itโ€™s your turn and Aurelia can attack safely, youโ€™re good to goโ€”no other setup needed.

Variations โ€“ Karlach, Fury of Avernus with Helm is similar, but only gives two total combats due to its wording. Combat Celebrant + Helm of the Host is another way to go infinite. Aurelia also pairs well with Brago, King Eternal to loop combats via blink. Some builds use effects like Sneak Attack or Twinflame for burst plays, though those usually need extra pieces.

Execution โ€“ Equip Helm of the Host to Aurelia, the Warleader and head to combat. The Helm makes a hasty token copy of Aurelia at the start of combat. In that first combat phase, attack with the token. When it attacks, its ability triggersโ€”untapping your creatures and giving you another combat.

That new combat begins, and the Helm makes another Aurelia token. The process repeats: Each token attacks, triggers an extra combat, and spawns yet another token. Since each one is a fresh Aurelia attacking for the first time, the loop never ends until your opponents do.

#2. Najeela, the Blade-Blossom + Derevi, Empyrial Tactician

Cards โ€“ Najeela, the Blade-Blossom, Derevi, Empyrial Tactician

Prerequisites โ€“ You control Najeela, the Blade-Blossom, Derevi, Empyrial Tactician, and at least two other creatures that can attack. None of them have summoning sickness. You also have at least five permanents (lands, mana rocks, dorks, etc.) that can tap for , and an opponent must be unable to block at least five of your attackers.

Variations โ€“ Instead of Derevi, you can use other cards that generate 5+ mana during combat, like Nature's Will, Druids' Repository, or Sword of Feast and Famine with proper setup. Derevi is the most compact version, needing only two cards to go off.

Execution โ€“ Attack with Najeela, Derevi, and at least two other creatures. Najeela creates a 1/1 tapped and attacking Warrior. When your creatures deal combat damage to players, Derevi triggers five times, untapping five mana-producing permanents. Tap them to make and activate Najeelaโ€™s ability. All attackers untap, gain trample, lifelink, and haste, and you get an extra combat. Repeat this process for infinite combats and value.

#1. Combat Celebrant + Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker

Cards โ€“ Combat Celebrant, Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker

Prerequisites โ€“ Both creatures must be on the battlefield under your control. Combat Celebrant must be ready to attack (no summoning sickness), and Kiki-Jiki must be untapped. No mana is needed once both are in playโ€”just make sure you can safely enter combat.

Variations โ€“ Combat Celebrant + Helm of the Host also creates infinite combats without Kiki. Kiki-Jiki has many other combos, like with Zealous Conscripts or Pestermite, but those focus on infinite creatures, not combat steps.

Execution โ€“ With both creatures out, activate Kiki-Jiki before combat to make a hasty Combat Celebrant token. Move to combat and declare the token as an attacker, exerting it. When it exerts, it untaps your other creatures and gives you another combat. That untaps Kiki-Jiki, who didnโ€™t attack. At the start of the next combat, activate Kiki-Jiki again to make another Celebrant token. Attack, exert, repeat.
