Lorwyn Eclipsed is the much anticipated return to a fan-favorite plane and a return to true, real, MTG itself (take that, UB). With it comes all sorts of goodies from booster packs. But rest assured: Hereโs a small guide to show you the most valuable cards you can open, as well as the different art treatments you can find in ECL. Before we begin, please note that Lorwyn Eclipsed is divided into two sets:
- Lorwyn Eclipsed (ECL): the Standard-legal set that you open in Play Boosters and Collector Boosters. These can contain Special Guest cards (SPG), too.
- Lorwyn Eclipsed Commander (ECC): the cards from the Commander precons. I focus primarily on booster content only, so no cards from the precons here, although you find ECC cards in Collector Boosters.
Special Guests cards (SPG) are an exception: These cards are special reprints from the original Lorwyn and Shadowmoor blocks, and you have a small chance of getting these in a booster. As such, these cards tend to be more valuable.
My price reference was everything from $15 up after the set's release. Also, I reference the cheapest version of a card, if thereโs two or more versions.
These prices were taken from TCGplayer on 2/16/2026, and are subject to significant changes after the set fully releases.
Most Expensive Lorwyn Eclipsed Card Overall

The 500 serialized Bitterbloom Bearer cards are the most valuable in the set, and they only come in Lorwyn Eclipsed collector boosters. One of these sweet faeries sold for $4,000.
#6. Hexing Squelcher โ $16.83
One of the best-ranked cards from the Standard regular set is Hexing Squelcher. Some players think that this card will ruin some competitive metas. It protects your own spells from being countered, which opens the way to combos. It has the potential to skyrocket at any time.
#5. Deceit โ $17.71
Deceit reminds me of one of my favorite Dimir creatures () in Dinrova Horror. This card gets played for the discard effect alone, and sometimes you cast this and bounce something with the added discard.
#4. Moonshadow โ $18.66
A mythic rare card from Lorwyn Eclipsed that costs 1 and is a 4-of in decks that want it deserves a high price. Moonshadow is a surprisingly good 1-mana aggressive creature that is relevant in various formats. Itโs easy to attack with this card as a 2/2 menace with a fetch land, and it only grows from there. Thereโs already an Insidious Roots deck that mills constantly, and Moonshadow is a beater in that deck. The synergies with manifest dread are huge, and something like a Fate Transfer can be an excellent combo.
#3. Wistfulness โ $19.74
Wistfulness is a nice ramp target. Itโs a strong 6/5 that can filter through some cards and even nuke an artifact or enchantment. This card is also one of the ways WotC is trying to make people put โsideboardโ cards in their main deck, and everybody knows this effect is much better when tied to a giant creature that draws cards.
#2. Chronicle of Victory โ $21.65
Vanquisher's Banner already sees some play, so letโs make a card thatโs a little bigger and better. Chronicle of Victory is a strong addition to typal decks, as the +2/+2 and other relevant abilities canโt be ignored. Itโs also a 6-mana artifact that doesnโt do anything when you have an empty board, but it helps you to rebuild.
#1. Bitterbloom Bearer โ $22.62
Bitterblossom is here too, but letโs talk about its flying counterpart, Bitterbloom Bearer. Cards that can produce tokens every turn are very good, and so is a 2/1 flash flier. Good thing is, playing a card on your opponentโs turn is a strongly-supported archetype, and cards like Obyra, Dreaming Duelist or Scion of Oona can make good use of the extra faeries youโll make. As long as you hold a Negate or Spell Stutter, you should be fine.
Cards Between $5-10
Cards Between $10-15
Promos, Alternate Art, and More
Now that weโve gone through the regular version of the most expensive cards, letโs see the special versions we might pull in Play Boosters and Collector Boosters.
Serialized Bitterbloom Bearer

The headliner of the set, with gorgeous special Rebecca Guay art (the original Bitterblossom artist), we have 500 copies of this version of Bitterbloom Bearer. Youโll find them only in Collector Boosters, and the changes in cost for this should amaze you. Less than 1% of Collector Boosters will have a serialized double rainbow foil version of Bitterbloom Bearer and that's why its price range is $4,000+.
Fable Frame Cards

Showing alternate versions of cards in what looks like a storybook, these Fable Frame cards can be found in both Play and Collector Boosters, in traditional foil and nonfoil versions. We have a lot of cards with this treatment, including 10 uncommons, 26 rares, and 14 mythics. Cards with this treatment have a couple of dollars more than the value of their regular counterpart. While in Play Boosters you get a very low % chance of pulling one of these, roughly 40% of Collector Boosters have a rare or mythic, and the chance of getting at least an uncommon is pretty solid, too.
Special Guest Cards
Special Guests are among the most valuable cards from Lorwyn Eclipsed, with several cards in the $15-30 range. Not only are they reprints of valuable and desirable cards, but their % rate in a given pack is very low. There's a dedicated slot in boosters with a 10% chance that itโll be a Special Guest card in Collector Boosters, and one in each 55 Play Boosters (1.8%) will have one of these in a common slot.
Reversible Shock Lands

These special versions of Lorwyn Eclipsedโs five shock lands have two sides. One side depicts the Lorwyn version of the land, while the other side shows the Shadowmoor version. This transformation is only aesthetic, worth about $5 more, with no impacts in the game, and thereโs no fixed front or back side. Some slots in play boosters have a 1% chance of having one of these, while in collector boosters, this jumps to 5%.
Japan Showcase Cards

Japan Showcase cards are a Booster Fun variant thatโs present in most Standard releases. In ECL, we have 10 different cards with this treatment. The art on these is really awesome, especially if you enjoy this more โanime/gamingโ art style, but they're only in Collector Boosters. One slot has a traditional foil in 9% of boosters or a fracture foil in 1% of them, and that fractured foil treatment means at least a $50 increase over the nonfoil.
Wrap Up

Bitterbloom Bearer | Illustration by Chris Rahn
And that brings us to an end on Lorwyn Eclipsedโs most expensive cards. As usual, most of the value is concentrated on reprints, and some of the better mythics and rares for Constructed and Commander. And if you open one of these in special treatment, you know you struck gold.
