TCGPlayer prices of the limited Secrets of Strixhaven Codex Bundle product have plummeted over the past two weeks or so, to a market price of $140, with the most recent sales going for less than that:

The product had an MSRP of $89.99, which youโre unlikely to find any time soonโeven the preorder prices exceeded that, with many going for $160+ on TCGPlayer.
Itโs not surprising that the Codex Bundle fetched such a high price as itโs a hotly anticipated product that included several unique promos, including half of the Talismans, a cycle of mana rocks that are staples in Commander and Cube. Even Tolarian Community College praised the Bundle. Preorders sold out quickly, and now youโre finding resells because scalpers are ruining our card game: while the TCGPlayer Codex Bundles nearly resemble the MSRP if you squint hard enough, resellers on Walmart and Amazon have posted bundles just shy of $200:

With prices like these, stick to TCGPlayer, if you canโt get it from your LGS.
Whatโs In a Secrets of Strixhaven Codex Bundle?

Talisman of Hierarchy | Illustration by Qistina Khalidah
With prices like these, youโd expect the Codex Bundle to possess quite a few goodies, and it doesโmore than just those enemy Talismans, which have stunning art based on their corresponding school, plus a Sol Ring representing Arcaviosโs archaics:

These ramp staples appear in foil, and each bundle has two random promos, so you canโt collect all six from one bundle. The bundle also includes 20 traditional foil landsโfour of each basic land typeโand a spin-down life counter. Oh, and some booster packs; six Play Boosters and two Collector Boosters, to be exact. It all comes packaged in a box stylized like a book.
If the contents of the Codex Bundle sound familiar, that might be because of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Pizza Bundle. There were moderate differences but they were effectively the same: A bunch of booster packs and foil lands alongside promotional cards that were exclusive to that product, and you got two of six possible cards.
The Codex Bundle is obviously superior as it didnโt include nonsense like pizza lands, but both products were fairly popular. Notably, Pizza Bundles presently have a lower market price on TCGPlayer:

This almost certainly has more to do with a lack of interest in TMT as a set, but it might indicate that Codex Bundle prices could go lower as hype for the set naturally dies down.
Marvel Super Heroes Gift Bundle
If you like the sound of the Codex Bundle, donโt worry if you missed out: It seems likely that weโll be getting bundles like this with future sets, including Juneโs upcoming Marvel Super Heroes set, which just calls its product a Gift Bundle:

The MSH Gift Bundle has the same MSRP of $89.99 and very similar contents to the previous bundles: It has nine Play Boosters and one Collector Booster along with 30 basics (15 foil, 15 non-foil) and a spindown. The most notable difference comes from the promo: The listing on the WPN page says it contains an โalternate-art traditional foil promo card,โ so the Gift Bundles may contain the same promo rather than two of six choices.
If it sounds like something you might be interested in, start looking now: Preoders are up on various websites, with Gamestop and TCGPlayer both offering preorders at $99. Thatโs over MSRP but, if the Codex Bundles are anything to go by, you might not find a better price.
