Today, Wizards of the Coast will hold a Preview Panel at MagicCon Las Vegas at 1:00pm PST to discuss three upcoming sets: Marvel Super Heroes, The Hobbit, and Reality Fracture. The panel will be streamed live on the official MTG YouTube channel, with guests including Mark Rosewater, Annie Sardelis, Nick Marcantel, Meris Mullaley, and Jimmy Wong.

These are the next Magic sets dropping in 2026, but not the only ones, as Star Trek drops at the end of the year. The panel will include card previews along with discussions of art and upcoming storylines.
Everything We Know About The Featured Sets

The primary information we have for the following sets are the expected months they’ll release, but Reality Fracture and Marvel Super Heroes (MSH) have also had a few leaks. Interestingly, WotC has kept a tight lid on The Hobbit.
Marvel Super Heroes releases in June, and we know a lot. The set will be accompanied by four Commander precons, with one villain-themed deck and three for the heroes:

In addition to leaked art, we saw The Fantastic Four cards for the precon:
In addition to leaked Commander products, a handful of uncommons slipped into Secrets of Strixhaven Play Boosters, giving us a peek at Thor Odinsson, among other characters:

The Hobbit is slated to follow Marvel in August, and little else has come out about the set except some official art from the announcement last year:

Reality Fracture is the only in-universe set to be discussed, but it’s a big one as it brings an end to the story arch that began when the Omenpaths open post-Phyrexian Invasion. Jace is mucking around with the multiverse and has created Hexhaven, a mirrored, alternate-universe version of Strixhaven with colorshifted cards and planeswalkers a la Planar Chaos.
The official art for the Preview Panel illustrated this with a colorshifted Liliana representing the set. Interestingly, she’s not just white; the stained-glass motif on the dress indicates an affiliation with the Benalish church. A Serra-worshiping Liliana would be something! Oh, and we’ve seen a few Reality Fracture leaks that include a blue Chandra and red Snapcaster Mage:

Speculation on Featured Sets

The panel will definitely show off cards and art, and it’s always fun to think about what they might be. With Jimmy Wong on the panel, you can expect some Commander announcements; I’d wager they’ll either show the face commanders from MSH’s precons or announce additional Commander precons for The Hobbit and Reality Fracture—or both!
I imagine Reality Fracture’s discussion will formalize everything we know about Hexhaven—while there’s plenty of information floating around, it’s all leaks and speculation. We’ll likely learn the names of the allied colored schools of Hexhaven, some art, maybe another colorshifted card or two.
The Hobbit will probably involve cards or at least art of key characters like Bilbo, Gandalf, and Smaug; maybe a Thorin card to give Magda a run for the best dwarf commander? More pressing, I think, will be the discussion of cards from The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-Earth that might get reprints.
LTR printed many staples with undeniable links to the IP, like The One Ring, Galadriel's Dismissal, and Legolas's Quick Reflexes. These cards see lots of play, but also have immense price tags due to limited supply. These aren’t cards that can just get slipped into the next Mystical Archive or other bonus sheet because they’re so tangled in the IP—or if they can, Wizards is holding out on us. The Hobbit feels like a critical set for these cards. If Wizards isn’t reprinting them here, or announcing another print run of LTR, then when will they get reprinted? Will Universes Beyond create an unofficial, IP-based Reserved List? A discussion for another day.
