Deals on Magic products abound if you keep your eyes open. Prices dip on TCGPlayer or products get discounted on Amazon—both of which have occurred this week. The deals include Avatar: the Last Airbender Collector Booster boxes and more than a few Commander precons, including those from The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-Earth and Lorwyn Eclipsed.

Starting off with the Collector Boosters, Avatar: the Last Airbender Collector Boosters have reached their lowest market price on TCGPlayer in months:

The MP hovered around $355 coming into the year, and has steadily climbed since, with a peak of $390 in late January. The new market price of $367 isn’t quite the lowest price earlier, but it’s a good deal lower than a few weeks ago. Of note, the upcoming Avatar: the Last Airbender movie could impact the price by bringing more attention to the franchise.
The big chase pulls are the exclusive headliner edition Avatar Aang and the Neon Ink Battle Pose cards, each of which appear in less than 1% of Collector Boosters, per Wizard’s “Collecting” article. But don’t despair about those odds! The set has plenty of great hits, from cards like Badgermole Cub and Wan Shi Tong, Librarian that have become multi-format staples to high-value Source Material reprints like Teferi's Protection and Force of Negation.
Lorwyn Eclipsed Commander Bundle Sale
The first notable sale on Amazon is a Lorwyn Eclipsed Commander bundle that features two copies of each precon from ECC, Blight Curse and Dance of the Elements. A 40% discount brings the price to $120 for all four.
Both of these precons are pretty good. Blight Curse contained the first major -1/-1 counter support in years, and Ashling, the Limitless, head of Dance of the Elements, could be considered the face of Lorwyn Eclipsed as it’s the most built commander from the set. Both are a ton of fun, and have decent value; you can read more about them here:
The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-Earth Commander Sale
Another Amazon deal is more of a throwback: Three of the four precons from The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-Earth are on sale, with varying discounts.
- Riders of Rohan has a 22% discount for a price of $55.
- The Hosts of Mordor has a 28% discount for a price of $86.
- Elven Council has a 22% discount for a price of $54.
Of the three decks, The Hosts of Mordor is probably the most exciting to play out of the box, but Elven Council is easily upgraded to suit your needs. Riders of Rohan doesn’t hit either of those notes, but it is a fun deck thanks to how great the monarch is in Commander.
These decks are especially interesting with The Hobbit releasing later in the year, potentially adding new support. While many The Lord of the Rings characters don’t appear in The Hobbit, that doesn’t mean Wizards won’t take some liberties—after all, they added Smaug to LTR! At the very least, blue-green scry elves might receive additional support, which would be welcome considering how fresh that niche is.
