The real tragedy of Marvel's Spider-Man flopping as hard as it did was that people didn't really play with Morbius the Living Vampire enough to actually yell out โIt's Morbin' Timeโ during their games. WotC clearly wanted to rectify that wrong by running back the meme energy in Avatar: The Last Airbender, which will have you shouting โSecret Tunnel!โ half-way across the LGS. And it helps that it's a pretty exciting card for typal decks, too.
Memey, and Dreamy

Secret Tunnel is a new rare, colorless land from Avatar: The Last Airbender. It's a cave for all those Lost Cavern of Ixalan synergies you forgot about, and also has one of the weirdest lines of text you'll ever see on a land: โThis land can't be blocked.โ That naturally leads you to think it'll be a creature land of some sort that can animate itself into an unblockable threat, Creeping Tar Pit style, but nope, no such ability here!

Of course, one of the many jokes here is that this exists in a set with earthbending, a mechanic that can turn lands into creatures. Earthbend this baddy and you'll have your own little Tunnel to beat down with. Can you imagine targeting this with Avatar Kyoshi, Earthbender?
Obviously, the more important line of text for Commander players is the activated ability, which costs and makes two creatures with an overlapping creature type unblockable for the turn. That's a nice little payoff for typal decks with a bunch of large creatures or saboteurs, neither of which mind slipping creatures past blockers. Dinosaur decks might want this just as much as rogues. It's not completely locked to typal decks, but you're not jumping out of your seat to play this elsewhere, unless the โcaveโ subtype really appeals to you.
Not Quite a Strict Upgrade

Rogue's Passage | Illustration by Christine Choi
The immediate comparison is Rogue's Passage, a utility land that's been floating around Commander since the wee old days when you could still tuck commanders. Rogue's Passage debuted in Return to Ravnica and has been reprinted just under 30 times! The sheer number of reprints should clue you in to how often this shows up in Commander precons, or just Commander decks in general. It's a solid way to push a commander or other attacker through, and shows up in 20% of all decks on EDHREC.

And it looks like Secret Tunnelโs coming to usurp itโฆ except not really. While the new cave looks like a strict upgrade, it's more of a side-grade once you read it fully. The key here is that the unblockable ability must target two creatures (there's no โup toโ in this text), and they obviously have to share a creature type. That means if you only control one creature, you're unable to activate this, whereas Rogue's Passage has no restriction. Even in typal decks that run 20-40 of the same creatures, there's a chance you end up in situations where you can't make your one key creature unblockable. It also only targets creatures you control, so no getting around that if your opponent just happens to overlap types with you.
That said, even though Secret Tunnel isn't a strict upgrade over Rogue's Passage, it will play out better in most situations, which means it's time to retire those Moderately Played Passages in decks focused on a single creature type. Making two dudes unblockable for the same price as Rogue's Passage is big upside, and the 90% of times where you jam with two evasive threats will more than make up for the 10% when you can't activate this at all. And all the better if you can get some extra synergy out of the cave typing or the hilariously memey unblockable land text.
