2026 is arguably the year we get the most Commander. Marvel Super Heroes has more legendary creatures than any set prior, sets are explicitly designed with Commander in mind, most sets have multiple precons, and players can meet up at the Local Game Store or through myriad online gaming options.
If you still haven’t had enough Commander, you might be interested in Commander gameplay channels, or YouTube content creators that make Commander gameplay videos for you to watch. Plenty of channels make excellent content, and I’ve rounded up some of the best for your perusal.
What to Look for in a Commander Gameplay Channel

Split Screen | Illustration by Simon Dominic
One of the most important elements of any gameplay channel is the host and guests because so much of Commander is socially-based. Banter and chemistry go a long way towards making a good show, though that may come at the cost of conciseness since jokes take time.
Another important element, for me at least, is the quality of gameplay. A major reason I watch these is to learn, either from interesting deckbuilding choices or good plays. Sloppy gameplay can be distracting, especially if the players don’t pick up on it. Of course, Commander is very complex, and the odd missed damage here and there is acceptable, but you don’t want, say, an entire game decided because a player accidentally left a creature in play through a board wipe or something. Another important aspect of gameplay is the type of Commander played; do they focus on casual brews or high-powered games or cEDH?
Production values are nice, but I mostly care about editing: Good editing can make something simple as webcam Magic engaging.
The channels listed below hit all of these notes at some point or another, with an emphasis on personality and gameplay. These channels are arranged alphebetically, and placement should not be taken as a ranking; even if these channels don’t strike your fancy, these are all excellent creators.
Honorable Mentions: Amy the Amazonian & Dueling Grounds MTG
Amy: https://www.youtube.com/@Amazonian
Dueling Grounds: https://www.youtube.com/@DuelingGroundsMTG
I want to kick of the rankings with a couple honorable mentions for channels that publish Commander-adjacent gameplay.
Amy the Amazonian is pretty much the Brawl content creator, with regular Brawl gameplay videos that highlight the format closest to Commander for Arena players. She plays with new commanders, old commanders, and Alchemy commanders, with new gameplay every few days.
Dueling Grounds is dedicated to Duel Commander, an offshoot of the regular format with a ban list sculpted to support a more competitive, 1v1 environment that has more in common with Legacy or Cube than your average casual EDH game.
Commander At Home

Youtube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/@commanderathome
Commander At Home is hosted by Magic Hall of Famer Brain Kibler and Olivia Gobert-Hicks, current member of the Commander Format Panel. They bring on a rotation of guests and play cool, casual games; something that’s especially fun here is seeing Brian and Olivia use their personal decks in multiple contexts so you get to see how they play over multiple games for a better idea of how the deck works.
Commander Clash

Youtube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/@MTGGoldfishCommander
The Commander Clash show is hosted by the MTGGoldfish crew. There’s a small rotation of the cast, but you can generally expect to see Tomer and Crim playing games. Part of what makes this show so distinct is its cast: Because the crew is somewhat static, they often rely on deckbuilding challenges rather than guests as a hook, leading to some of the more creative games on YouTube.
Commander VS

Youtube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/@starcitygames
Hosted by Star City Games, one of the most notable game stores in the Magic sphere, Commander VS posts regular gameplay with good banter and cool decks. They have a fairly static cast of Jeremy Noell, Cory Baumeister, Jonathan Suarez, and Stephen Green, so you can expect variety in decks rather than players. This includes themes and also a lot of fan request decks for some community action.
Decked Out EDH

Youtube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/@DeckedOutEDH
Hosted by MTGNerdGirl and Veggie Wagon, both excellent content creators in their own right, Decked Out EDH contains both their Commander gameplay and podcast, The Good Time Boys. These games are focused on casual gameplay and banter, often doing an excellent job of simulating what it feels like to play EDH with a group of friends.
Elder Dragon Hijinks

Youtube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/@EDHijinks/videos
Olivia Gober-Hicks pops up again as a of the co-host of Elder Dragon Hijinks alongside Elidh “AliasV” Lonie. Elidh is a notable commentator of Magic that often works for Wizards on professional tournaments, so she adds a lot to these gameplay videos, mostly captured over webcam. That allows them to pull on a deep pool of guests; after all, it’s much easier to set up a webcam than fly to somebody’s house. This is one of the more casual, sociable channels that really feels like hitting up the LGS for games.
Game Knights

Youtube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/@commandcast
Game Knights is The Command Zone’s Commander gameplay series, hosted by Jimmy Wong, Josh Lee Kwai, and Rachel Weeks. Game Knights has some of the highest production values of any show on YouTube. Games are heavily edited and have immense production values, with all sorts of special effects. The gameplay gets so much care, and it shines through in every episode, which typically focuses on casual EDH and interesting guests.
MTG Muddstah

Youtube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/@MTGMuddstah
MTG Muddstah has some of the crispest editing for casual EDH. Hour+ videoes with banter and everything can be draining, but these gameplay videos are heavily edited with voice-over narration, so games get condensed into 10-15 minute videos that are easy to watch on a lunch break or in a similarly small period of time. If you want just a bite of casual EDH, these are amazing.
Nitpicking Nerds

Youtube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/@NitpickingNerds
The Nitpicking Nerds—Mia and Beezy—do much more than Commander gameplay, but the games they regularly produce are excellent, largely because they have excellent chemistry. The games are very guest-focused and vary greatly on power level, with everything between Bracket 2 and 5 represented, though that doesn’t stop them from having themed gameplay videos, like all typal decks.
Play to Win

Youtube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/@PlaytoWinMTG
I find Play to Win focuses a little more on meta decks, especially in the hands of the hosts, Dillon and Cam; brews are typically brought about by guests. This gives the channel a much more competitive feel. I appreciate the frequent interludes cutting to Dillon and Cam, where they explain why something happened; this is one of the most informative cEDH channels out there.
Playing with Power MTG

Youtube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/@PlayingWithPowerMTG/videos
Playing with Power MTG is one of the foremost cEDH channels with excellent editing that cuts games into videos about 20 minutes long without sacrificing tableside banter and politics. I appreciate that these players really brew; while meta decks abound, it’s not uncommon to find meta decks like Etali or Rog/Si squaring off with brews like G’raha Tia and Kaalia. They also mix in a little high-powered Commander, which would correlate to Bracket 4.
ScryBabies

Youtube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/@scrybabies
ScryBabies is hosted by Lua Stardust and Tori of the Vast, and they do quite a bit more than just Commander gameplay with a podcast that includes set reviews and the like. A draw to this channel is the mix of gameplay: Most channels specialize in either cEDH or casual EDH, but ScryBabies has a good mixture of both, including fun cEDH brews.
Shuffle Up & Play

Youtube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/@TolarianCommunityCollege
Shuffle Up & Play is hosted by the Professor of Tolarian Community College, one of the biggest MTG YouTube channels. This is another guest-focused show, though there are occasionally different deckbuilding challenges. Note that Shuffle Up & Play is just a portion of the content TCC puts out, so Shuffle Up & Play doesn’t publish as often as channels focused exclusively on Commander gameplay.
SmoothBrainEDH

Youtube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/@SmoothBrainEDH
SmoothBrainEDH has smooth editing to go with the smooth brains—this is among the cleanest editing I’ve seen in Commander with absolutely no nonsense, just rapid gameplay. If you don’t have time to watch a long game or the desire for anything more than cards flying, check this out.
Tabletop Jocks

Youtube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/@TabletopJocks/videos
Tabletop Jocks is hosted by Jo Johnson and focuses primarily on casual EDH. It’s another guest-heavy show with many familiar faces, including PowrDragn, The Professor, and more. The editing’s cool and the gameplay’s fun; this is one of the newer channels on the list, but they put out excellent content.
The Spike Feeders
Youtube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/@TheSpikeFeeders

The Spike Feeders are a group of eight friends who make Commander content. The benefit of their friendship is the constant chemistry between them; it’s also a large enough cast to have some variety among table dynamics. The gameplay itself is extremely well edited and well played. Many of the decks they play are built by one of the Feeders, Aaron, so the games are generally well-balanced. There’s also some great variety here as they play a good mix of casual and competitive EDH.
Commanding Conclusion

Watching Commander gameplay can be as simple as looking for entertainment, but these channels often have informative gameplay to inspire your deckbuilding and improve your plays next time you hit up your LGS’s Commander night, with a range of personalities and power levels to appeal to every player.
