The recently spoiled Temur Roar precon is packing heat, which makes sense when you consider how many dragons are in the deck! Among its offerings are two expensive first-time reprints, Nogi, Draco-Zealot and Hellkite Courser.
Assessing the First-Time Reprints

Nogi, Draco-Zealot was originally printed exclusively in an obscure Game Nights product. This was the third of a series of โGame Nightsโ releases, which were essentially EDH battle boxes that could be played right out of the box like a board game.

As for the card itselfโฆ it's pretty good! If you have any kind of dragon deck, Nogi is kind of like a beefed up legendary Dragonspeaker Shaman. The cost reduction isn't quite as high, but to compensate, it can be quite dangerous in combat with some help. It's also one of only 14 available Kobold creatures, and definitely one of the better ones. The reprint should help drive the price down though, making Nogi more easily available for dragon (and Kobold) players.

Hellkite Courser

Hellkite Courser comes from a less novel product (Commander Legends) and offers a more generically useful effect. You don't necessarily have to care about dragons to play this one, as expensive commanders (or those with โattacksโ triggers) make good use of it. Hellkite Courser does seem to be most popular in dragon decks though, which makes sense when you consider how mana intensive The Ur-Dragon and Tiamat are!
It's worth noting that Hellkite Courserโs price was previously spiking during preview season, likely due to its power and popularity with the aforementioned commanders. This may come to a halt with the surprise reprint, though the card still retains mass appeal.
Any Other Reprints of Note?

Yes! A couple of other notable reprints from Temur Roar are:
Sarkhan, Soul Aflameโs reprint is an unfortunate blow to finance bros, as Sarkhan was another card that saw substantial price increases during spoiler season. That said, it's nice to see a desirable March of the Machine: The Aftermath card get a reprint here. The rest of these cards have considerable appeal across Commander, and each come in between $5-10 at the time of writing, so it's safe to say Temur Roar delivered on the value front. That said, don't hold on to those Sarkhans for too long.
