Power Creep has done a lot more than โcreepโ forward in recent years and that means we get multiple new infinite combos every set release, and Edge of Eternities is no exception. The card at the center of attention is Val, Marooned Surveyor. A new digital-only EOE card that was quietly revealed before Avatar: The Last Airbender's previews.

It's a 2-mana 2/3 that drains each opponent whenever you use one of many card-advantage mechanics like discover or scry. Scry is the big one here. Many different scry cards have interaction with lifegain, and that's going to be where our combos will come in. This card is also just ridiculously priced. Two mana for this much text is absurd and we're lucky it's not getting a paper printing.
Instant* Win Combos

The first combo is so straightforward you couldn't miss it looking at each card side-by-side. All you need is to trigger Val once. That kickstarts the lifegain, which then triggers Trelasarra and begins the infinite loop that won't resolve until all of your opponents are dead!
This combo is also super safe due to how early you can actually get it online and win. If you're playing Brawl, you can assemble the combo on turn-two with Chrome Mox and a scry or surveil land. Simply go Val -> Chrome Mox -> Trelasarra -> surveil/scry land and it's game over for your opponents.

Amalia Benavides Aguirre is probably what WotC was thinking players would combo this with. it's a little cuter and can also be accomplished on turn two, but it's just not as instant as Trelasarra and can technically fail if you don't have anymore noncreature cards in your deck. However, that certainly won't happen if it's turn two.
The ward to pay three life doesn't really matter here. The power of this combo comes from speed and simplicity and your opponent will definitely be fine paying that ward cost.
Multiplayer Support?

Astute card readers caught that Val's text officially says โeach opponentโ despite there not being any multiplayer functionality on Arena, even for Brawl. This has had players on Reddit speculating that a multiplayer mode might be coming sometime in the future, or that the Commander video game discussed last year may be closer than we thought.
But as other users pointed out, another card actually exists in Alchemy that mentions โmultiplayer:โ Juggle the Performance. This means it's much more likely to be standard templating for cards rather than some compelling revelation about Arena' future.

It doesn’t combo with Amalia…
Huh, looks like someone assumed explore was on that list of abilities.
