Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur | Zezhou Chen
Marvel Super Heroes spoiler season is here, and yesterday's reveal stream showed off ten signpost uncommons each corresponding to one of the ten supported draft archetypes in the set. This is what we know so far about these cards and what their archetypes are trying to do.
UW Teamwork
Captain America, Living Legend is a great card first and foremost. Its ability gives all of your creatures pseudo-vigilance, and that's always a good effect to have. However, you'll get the most leverage out of this card by leaning into cards with Teamwork effects, as well as other cards with tap abilities.
UB Draw two
Kang, Temporal Tyrant is another card that's just generally good on its own. However, the blue black color pair will care a lot about drawing two cards. It will do this mostly through cards that connive, and Kang is both an enabler and a payoff for this strategy.
BR Villains
Madame Hydra is all in on villains. If you're playing red black, especially when you have this card, you're going to want to be putting as many good villains in your deck as possible so that you can get the most out of your villain pay-offs.
RG Power-up Stompy
With Hulk, Gamma Goliath, it's go big or go home. The red green deck is looking to smash the opponent with huge creatures, whether that be creatures that are just huge by default, or creatures you grow with their Power-up abilities.
GW Heroes
Black Panther, Vanguard is the signpost of the green white deck, and this deck cares about heroes. It's the antithesis of the black red deck, and is looking to play as many hero creatures as possible to get the most out of your hero synergy cards.
WB Attack Alone
Black Widow, Double Agent leads the black white archetype which gets to something we don't see that often. This deck pays you off when you attack with only one creature. We've seen this in the past and it's often fallen a bit short of being good, but hopefully the card quality is high enough this time around to make it feel viable.
BG Graveyard
Killmonger, Scourge of Wakanda is yet another great card on its own, but it gets even better when you care about the graveyard. The green black archetype this time around puts an interesting twist on graveyard synergy, caring specifically about having two or more creature cards in your graveyard. This seems like an easy enough requirement to fulfill, so you likely won't need to go too deep on synergy to make this deck work.
GU Counters
Ant-Man, Colony Commander might be small, but your board won't be! Blue green is an archetype that cares about counters, and Ant-Man pays you off by making tokens. You can get counters from conniving or from Power-up abilities, so it should be pretty easy to enable +1/+1 counter synergy in this deck.
UR Artifacts
Iron Man, Master of Machines is the signpost uncommon for the blue red deck, which cares a lot about artifacts. This is both an enabler and a payoff, and this deck will be better the higher your density of artifacts is.
RW Equipment
Thor Odinson is perhaps the simplest of these signpost uncommons. If you just looked at this card, you would think the theme of red white was prowess, but in the reveal stream they stated that red white's theme is equipment. At any rate, this card is good, and it's certainly worthy of being in your deck.

It's great to finally have a set with ten supported draft archetypes again. The last time we had that was in Avatar: The Last Airbender, which was several months ago. These cards look like a lot of fun, and so far it looks like these strategies are well supported and balanced. We'll know more as we see more cards in the coming days, so be sure to check back in to see the latest news on spoilers.
