Nearly four weeks since Edge of Eternities landed, everybody's favorite legendary lobster Ragost, Deft Gastronaut and World Shaper face commander Hearthhull, the Worldseed are neck and neck in the race to become the most popular Commanderโฆ in space!
The Legendary spacecraft has, at the time of writing, a tiny lead according to EDHREC. Hearthhull, the Worldseed is undeniably beating Ragost out on the secondary market, where several lands-matter cards are going up.
And, in this case, it looks like Hearthhull, the Worldseed has a partner in crime from a different Magic set: An elemental bear from Bloomburrow is both going up in price itself, and helping push landfall cards up this week.
You're Gonna Hear Me Roar

Lumra, Bellow of the Woods needs little introduction for Commander players. It's both a great green commander โ Lumra, Bellow of the Woods decks are often seen going Kate Perry and roaring all the way to the top of cEDH tournaments โ and great in the 99. In that latter role, it's been showing up in more than a quarter of decks with Hearthhull, the Worldseed in the command zone.
And it's also solid in Pioneer, making Lumra, Bellow of the Woods a multi-format star.
As such, it's no surprise to see how it went up in price more than 100% this month, from about $12 to nearly $25. And roughly 40% of that gain happened in just the last 7 days:

And Lumra, Bellow of the Woods is not just rising itself in price: It's helping Hearthhull push other lands-matters card like Lotus Cobra, Blossoming Tortoise, and Valakut Exploration.
Lot O' Lands
Lotus Cobra is one of the most well-known lands-matter cards out there, with multiple printings, and a favorite of both Lumra, Bellow of the Woods and Hearthhull, the Worldseed. More than half of decks with either of them in the command zone have room for this Cobra, which went up in price by about 85% since August started and sits now at around $8-$9 for most printings, when it was priced below $5 back in July:

Lotus Cobra is a classic landfall mana engine that tends to spike whenever extra-lands commanders surge. It has several different printings, but demand is so high now that most versions show a similar curve to the original Zendikar printing shown above.
Blossoming Tortoise
You know what happened to the hare that underestimated the turtleโฆ

โฆ it ended up paying 130% more, having to shell around five bucks nowadays for what was worth close to $2 a month ago!
Demand for Blossoming Tortoise is real: Nearly half of Lumra decks have a copy (including those played in cEDH), and while in casual Commander decks the tortoise is not often seen when Hearthull is in the command zone, Hearthhull, the Worldseed cEDH decks sometimes have a copy of Blossoming Tortoise in the 99.
And there's also increased interest in Blossoming Tortoise from The Wandering Minstrel decks, which are increasingly getting traction among competitive Commander players.
Valakut Exploration
Valakut Exploration obviously doesn't fit in Lumra decks, given its red color identity, but are seeing a lot of action in Hearthhull, the Worldseed: Around a third of casual EDH brews play this red enchantment when the spacecraft is in the command zone, and it's making some inroads into cEDH.
And it has risen spectacularly in price in the last month, going from a bit over $1 to well over $5 in 30 days, with half of that gain coming from the last two weeks:

What Will Happen With These Lands-Matter Cards?

Divination โ Illustration by Matt Stewart
With our usual caveat that this is not investment advice (always do your own research, folks!), demand for most of these cards looks very real and organic. The one exception may be Blossoming Tortoise (a card selling in a day what it usually sells in two weeks often signals somebody trying to buy out all the copies to push the price up).
But Hearthhull, the Worldseed is without a doubt a very popular commander, Lumra, Bellow of the Woods has long ago proven it's an excellent cEDH commander, and lands-matter is one of the most popular strategies in casual Commander.
