Ms. Bumbleflower, the fluffy face commander of Bloomburrowโs Peace Offering Commander precon, has officially hopped into the ten most popular commanders in all of Magic!
According to EDHREC, she currently sits at Rank #10 with more than 31,000 decks. And Ms. Bumbleflower got there not by speed or brute force, but with hugs. Lots of hugs!
Meet Ms. Bumbleflower!

Ms. Bumbleflower was printed as the face commander of the Peace Offering, with Mr. Foxglove as her secondary commander.
Peace Offering features Ms. Bumbleflower as its Bant commander (), and if focus on what in Magic slang is known as โgroup hugโ: spells that benefit the entire table.
This brings an intense political game to the forefront: Do you really want to attack the player that can let you draw more cards?. In particular, Peace Offering uses Bloomburrowโs gift mechanic to hand out tokens and card drawโฆ but, of course, with an underlying โThis is gonna help me more than it's gonna help you,โ strategy!
A huge chunk of Bumbleflower decks still trace back to that precon, which helps explain why she built such a large player base so quickly.
Ms. Bumbleflowerโs appeal can even be seen in the MTG card market:

About a year ago, Ms. Bumbleflower was sitting below $1, which was unsurprising for a card that came in one of the most popular MTG precons that year. But nowadays she is more in the $4-$5 range: definitely not one of the most expensive cards in Magic, but worth sleeving up!
Good Cards to Play With Ms. Bumbleflower
If you want to focus on her Group Hug identity, there are a few cards from her precon that stand out immediately.
Kwain, Itinerant Meddler and Selvala, Explorer Returned both reinforce the friendly, social side of the deck by giving the table more cards and more action.
Tempt with Discovery adds another layer of negotiation, since it invites opponents to join in while still helping you advance.
Meanwhile, cards like Wizard Class and Twenty-Toed Toad show the other side of Bumbleflower decks: all that โniceโ card draw is also a real engine, and eventually it can become a very real win condition.
Outside of her precon, there are lots of options to make Ms. Bumbleflowerโs hugs even stronger, either to upgrade the precon or go for a different brew.
Wedding Ring is one of the best fits because it leans directly into Bumbleflowerโs gameplan: extra cards, extra politics, and more value whenever you manage to get additional draws on opponentsโ turns.
The Council of Four is another cool upgrade that naturally turns Bumbleflowerโs โfriendlyโ game into even more cards and board presence for you.
And then there is Smothering Tithe, which is about as subtle as a brick through a window but is still excellent here. If the table is drawing extra cards anyway, turning that into treasures is exactly as strong as it sounds.

Ms. Bumbleflower is one of the clearest recent examples of a commander that casual players can pick up easily, enjoy for a long time, and still keep tinkering with after the first few games. She is cute, political, flexible, and just dangerous enough to stay interesting.
No wonder Commander players have grown fond of the bunny!
