Sensei's Divining Top | Illustration by Michael Sutfin
The next Secret Lair Superdrop (โOur Boss in on Vacationโ) looks to be coming soon, and an image posted on their website gives cryptic hints for its contents. It feels almost like an old I Spy book, with tons of obvious nods and strange inclusions hinting at possible reprints and Secret Lair themes.

There's quite a bit packed into this image, with some obvious card names and images, and someโฆ not-so-obvious clues towards other possible inclusions.

To begin, three cards are obviously present in the image:
- Slime Against Humanity
- Deadeye Navigator
- Aesi, Tyrant of Gyre Strait (originally upside down in the image)
Beyond those, there are other hints as to what the drop might include:
- There's a gold ring on top of the Slime Against Humanity card, which looks suspiciously like The One Ring.
- One sticky note says โReprint Sensei's Diving Top,โ which would a clutch reprint as the price for a Diving Top is currently around $30.
- There's a spider and a unicorn in the pic, which could be hinting at popular creatures of that type being included. Emiel, the Blessed wouldn't be too bad to see in a Secret Lair, though there aren't many spiders worth enough to make a fully spider-themed drop that exciting.
- There's a Playstation 1 controller too, though it's not clear at all what that means (The Most Dangerous Gamer? Probably notโฆ).
- The keyboard has some janky symbols on it, and if you look closely, there's a blue arrow pointing to a blank key. No idea what this means though!
- There's a reference to a piece of art from the Chaos Vault article a few months ago. Remember the weird Dog art?
- Lastly (and most importantly), April 14th is checked off on the calendar, suggesting a concrete release date for the Secret Lair itself!

Banner Changes

One other thing that has been happening on the Secret Lair site are frequent banner changes. A couple banners have been screenshotted, and they're noting the obvious cats and dogs theme for these. This lines up well with previous Chaos Vault screenshots, which included not only the earlier dog but two cat arts as well!
The banner captured by DJNfinity also has some blue pawprints, which led some people to speculate if there was going to be a Blue's Clues crossover of some sort. Turns out these prints were also used in the Karlov Manor Murder Mystery puzzle for Arena users last year, but nothing's ruled out yet!

Wrap Up

The truth is of course that this article is pure speculation. It's certainly fun to guess the contents of Secret Lairs, but there's a lot of noise in that image. Even the great Alquist Proft would likely have some trouble with this one! It's at the very least a safe bet that Deadeye Navigator and Aesi, Tyrant of Gyre Strait will be reprinted though, so keep your eyes out for updates!
