This is a fictional piece of satire; the characters and situations described are not meant to be taken literally. Just have fun with it, folks!
Dangerous times we’re living in, folks. Reports are coming in from all around that children are finding Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Play Booster packs in their Halloween candy this year. Parents warn that these boosters are being buried beneath the chocolately, caramelly, nugetty layers of various chocolate bars in particular, with others reporting finding these stray boosties loosely packaged in bagged candies, as well.
Consider this a PSA to check any and all candy your children are bringing into your household to ensure their safety, and make sure your children stay free of Universes Beyond this fine Halloween season.
Two Years in a Row
This disheartening news comes off the heels of Halloween 2025, where a similar incident happened with Marvel’s Spider-Man Magic: The Gathering cards. Last year, a large number of concerned parents discovered gummy candies laced with SPM, which, while not an immediate health concern, did expose more children to the Spider-Man set.
Same story, different year. No child should open a bag of Skittles expecting to taste the rainbow, only to be greeted by Raphael, the Muscle in an unexpected TMNT booster pack. “At least use a Collector Booster,” says Mikey Jort, a trick-or-treatery dressed as Jimothy we interviewed. Mikey went on to explain that the boosters he found were full of bulk, and slathered in delicious, melty chocolate. “I did get a Source Material Doubling Season,” says Mikey, “but it smells likely a Hershey’s bar.”
When asking parents about the situation, they all unanimously agreed that the situation was dire, but that they were all thankful Star Trek has not been released yet. “Can you imagine?” says Mikey’s father Clint Jort. “You’re just a child, enjoying life and trick-or-treating, and you find a Universes Beyond Star Trek booster in your Halloween candy?” No Clint, no we can’t.
