About the Set
Into the Story | Illustration by Jason Rainville
This iteration of Jumpstart follows closely in the footsteps of its predecessors. There are a variety of types of packs that can be opened and immediately combined together to form basic decks.
The whole idea with Jumpstart is that a new player with no previous collection can instantly get into the game with just a few packs and play a simple Constructed format. It avoids having to teach the game and how to Draft, offering an affordable and stress-free way to play outside of duel and starter decks.
There might not be any new information yet, but we can speculate on a few characteristics by looking at previous Jumpstart packs. We’ll probably get a pack for every color combination plus a few extra ones. This is all that’s needed to get a proper combination for most players, and anything beyond that is a little too much.
We’re also likely going to get a few decent rares in each pack. They’re set lists, no gambling here, and I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw a sprinkled Teferi or Commander staple here and there.
