The Bloomburrow Commander precons have ballooned in price since their initial release back in August, with the Golgari sacrifice deck Squirreled Away reaching $150 on TCGPlayer. Luckily, these EDH decks will be getting a much-needed reprint soon which will hopefully drop these prices.
According to Peachstate Hobby Distributorโs website, this second print run of Bloomburrow Commander Decks will be available for stores to purchase starting January 6, 2025. With scarcity being a large motivator behind their high prices, this second print run will hopefully cause a drop in prices for these decks.
In general, the Bloomburrow Commander products are all much more expensive than other similar precons. Even the least expensive deck โ Family Matters โ is nearly $70, with both other decks coming close to $90. In contrast Duskmournโs Commander precons are mostly hovering around $30-$40 with the exception of Endless Punishment.
While this reprint could help prices go down, players will need to look in the right places to get their hands on these decks at a lower price.
Where To Look For The Bloomburrow Commander Reprint

To make the best of the Bloomburrow Commander productsโ second print run, players will likely want to keep an eye out for them hitting shelves. While I would typically advise players to go to their local game stores โ thanks to the added value they provide the community through events and organized play โ prices might not drop at your LGS as quickly as somewhere else.
Local game stores typically stay somewhat in line with TCGPlayer prices, though some do occasionally sell decks for a bit less. Because prices on TCGPlayer probably wonโt drop until more decks are available, the first place you might want to look for these reprints is at big box retail stores.
Walmart, Target, and similar stores will often price all of their Commander decks the same. This means players can snag a $150 squirrel deck for the same price as any other EDH precon (typically around $50-$60 at these stores).
If you donโt have a big box store near you that sells Magic, that doesnโt mean youโre completely out of luck. Stores may buy up this second run of decks, only to find that the demand isnโt as high as the inflated prices on TCGPlayer would make it seem they are. This could help the prices go down.
Effects on Current Prices

Unfortunately, Iโm not wildly optimistic that these decks are going to take a major dip in prices.
Squirreled Away is still selling somewhat consistently according to TCGPlayer data, even at a price point of over $150. While the other Bloomburrow EDH precons don't mirror this precise trend, it does seem like Squirreled Away remains highly sought after.
Weโll have to wait for January to know for sure whether this new print run will have a major effect on prices. That said, it might not be a bad idea to drop by your local Walmart or Target some time around when this new print run is released. It could also be worth reaching out to your local game store to see if they plan on ordering more inventory of Bloomburrow Commander decks. Stores are much more willing to pick up products if they know they have some guaranteed sales, so showing interest might get your store to stock some decks.
