MagicCon Amsterdam's already been a big deal, with an entire line-up of Secret Lair Superdrops revealed, Reality Fracture spoilers, and a peek at next year's three in-universe sets. Today we kick off The Hobbit spoiler season with an entire Amsterdam panel dedicated to the set. Let's check out everything revealed from the panel.

And if you want to track spoilers and leaks as they come out, bookmark Draftsim's new spoiler page!

There and Back Again

First off we've got a look at one of the two Scene boxes from the set, including a merry gathering of dwarves and one particularly grump wizard. Gandalf, Party Guest was leaked a few days ahead of this stream.

The second Scene box focuses on Smaug's horde. These honestly look way more inspired than the Scene cards we just got from Marvel Super Heroes. Plus, new Smaug, which is a definite win.

The Lonely Mountain and Gollum, Riddle Master are some of the card you'll find in an alternative “Book cover” version, which also has surge foil alternates in Collector boosters.

We already knew this from some previous spoilers, but adventures will be prominent in this set as well, demonstrated by Gandalf, Goblins' Bane.

A new Sultai elf commander to combine existing BG elves + the UG elves of Lord of the Rings. Elf players are eating good this year. Thranduil, the Elvenking cares specifically about legendary elves, which is a nice twist. Speaking of, we've got another such legendary elf with Elrond, Moon-Reader.

The Queen of Dale shows us the new recruit mechanic, which is similar to connive that creates a 1/1 token instead of putting a +1/+1 counter on a creature. On the opposite side of the throne we've got Bard, King of Dale as both a draw doubler and a token doubler at once. Commander bait if ever we've seen it.

Thorin Oakenshield gives us a look at the “storied” mechanic, which is an ascend-style mechanic that turns online for the rest of the game once you meet a certain threshhold, in this case collecting three historic card types on board at the same time. Bifur, Melodic Rider gives your dwarves a bonus when you have an enduring story.

A stray assortment of cards here, including Silvan Reveler as a Simic elf with landfall, a kicker spell named The Eagles Are Coming!, and Bard the Bowman as a UW draw-two payoff for the Limited environment.

Sting, Bilbo's Sword

We got our first Sting card in Lord of the Rings, but it's back as Sting, Bilbo's Sword in this set. It uses “hone counters”, which increase the stat boost from the equipment. It's unclear right now how much we'll be seeing this new counter type.

Supper for Spiders

Supper for Spiders is a cool callback to Shelob, Child of Ungoliant with an effect that turns dead creatures into food.

Amass goblins makes its debut here as the fourth creature type to use the amass mechanic (zombies, orcs, and slivers). Remember that all amass abilities combine the creature types together so now you can add goblins to your other army tokens. Black-green gets a warg/wolf theme in this set, and brings the ferocious mechanic back as a main-set mechanic for the first time since the Khans of Tarkir block. You can see it here on The Chief Warg.

Burn, Burn, Tree and Fern

The sagas in this set are themed around songs, with Burn, Burn, Tree and Fern representing one of the uncommons in this set.

The Desolation of Smaug

Obviously Smaug gets his own board wipe. We've seen dragon-themed sweepers before, but The Desolation of Smaug floats into a dragon, like perhaps, Smaug the Magnificent.

Showing off the dwarven-language alternate arts from this set we've got an Alpha reprint in Dwarven Warriors. The Reaver Cleaver shows up as well, which is a welcome Commander reprint, as does Mox Amber, which sees plenty of play across formats. Treasure Vault and Arcane Signet round out the five dwarven-language cards, though we'd already seen Arcane Signet before this panel.

A number of the box toppers for Play booster and Collector boosters were show off. We've already seen Sauron, the Dark Lord, but the following were also revealed:
