Still from Avatar: The Last Airbender
Wizards of the Coast has chosen not to print Commander precons for Avatar: The Last Airbender. This has come as a shock considering Commander is the most popular format in Magic, by far, and even Final Fantasy and Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth both received their own suite of decks.
So What?

Obviously players can justโฆ build their own decks. The set has no shortage of legendary creatures, as most UB sets have a high-than-average volume of them, but Commander precons also present another benefit: they add designed-for-commander cards to the format.
Final Fantasy's precons are a great example of this. 100 new cards came to the format and among them were complete bangers like Sphere Grid, Tataru Taru, and Y'shtola, Night's Blessed.
All hope is not lost for TLA, though. In addition to the main set, there is Avatar: The Last Airbender Eternal. The cards in this set are only legal in Commander/Legacy/Vintage and are available from normal packs. They'll just have a different set code.

The only thing that's weird here is that WotC isn't calling TLE a โbonus sheetโ like it typically does for these additional sheets. They've also revealed over 61 cards for TLE, many of which are commons and uncommons. However, they still behave just like one. 1 in 7 commons within the pack will be a TLE card, and you may not even realize it if you don't check the set symbol. Collector Boosters, on the other hand, will have at least 4 TLE cards and of higher rarities.
The Commanderโฆ Bundle?

WotC hasn't actually stated why there aren't any Avatar precons, which is weird considering just about every set for the last 4 years has had at least two, even Universes Beyond releases. However, there is still a Commander product available: the Commander Bundle.

The commander bundle has โcommander staplesโ in addition to tons of boosters and lands.
Specifically, it has:
- 9 TLA Play Boosters
- 1 TLA Collector Booster
- 5 promos, 3 of which are the same in each bundle (unknown which cards)
- 15 foil basics, including 5 full-art Appa lands
- 15 non-foil basic lands, including 5 full-art Appa lands
- 1 Click-wheel to track life.
It's nowhere near a preconstructed deck, but for somebody starting out in their Magic journey, especially somebody who likes Commander, it could be a nice pickup.

You can find out what cards are the ‘Staples’ in every Commander Bundle in the descriptions of the Commander Bundles.
“Commander players will find Avatar-themed staples Sol Ring, Swiftfoot Boots, and Arcane Signet, plus two classic spells from a selected list of ten that are perfect for any commander’s arsenal.”
Good to know, thanks.
Yeah I’m definitely a little miffed. I was planning to buy all the precons for avatar and now I may not get any products. I’m busy and appreciate the convenience of being able to buy a precon and use it right away
A little surprising Avatar doesn’t have them given how much they emphasized Spider-Man specifically not having them.
