Magic's Spider-Man crossover has been a bit of a letdown, seen everywhere from the bad reception that Pick-Two draft got, to how Spider-Man‘s Collector Booster boxes have cratered in price.
But some of the SPM commanders are starting to settle in – and impacting the Magic card market upwards, as seen this week by two red cards that reward you when you cast spells from exile:
Charred Foyer // Warped Space, which went up by 100% in the last month, and Ensnared by the Mara, which jumped a crazy 500%.

Charred Foyer // Warped Space has more than doubled in price, from about $1.50 to around $3.30, in the span of a month, with most of that gain happening in the last couple of weeks:

Charred Foyer // Warped Space is a room enchantment from Duskmourn: You can cast any side as you would a stand-alone card, and later you can unlock the other half by paying the casting cost. Both sides play well with cards that care about you casting spells from exile, and as such Charred Foyer // Warped Space was already gaining momentum thanks to one of Edge of Eternities most popular commanders: Tannunk, Steadfast Second.
Tannunk, Steadfast SecondBut in recent weeks, Charred Foyer // Warped Space has gotten a huge push from a different play-from-exile commander: Gwen Stacy, one of SPM's double-faced cards.
Gwen Stacy plays well with the Warped Space room, since Warped Space reduces the cost of spells you play from exile to 0. But it's with Ghost-Spider that things get really spicy: Ghost-Spider gets a buff whenever you you play a land from or cast a spell from exile (which both sides of Charred Foyer // Warped Space help you do), and lets you exile and play the top card of your library (which Warped Space then lets you cast for free).
Gwen Stacy is one of the most popular commanders from SPM, and around 50% of her decks play Charred Foyer // Warped Space. And Gwen Stacy decks have even shown up in cEDH, with the red room enchantment in their playlist.
Spiked by The Mara
There's another red red card showing quite an spectacular climb this week: Doctor Who‘s Ensnared by the Mara. Near-mint copies went from $1 to nearly $5 in 30 days, with roughly half of that gain happening since last week:

Like Charred Foyer // Warped Space, Ensnared by the Mara synergizes well with cards that reward you casting spells from exile. As such, it is not too big of a surprise to find that quite a few of Gwen Stacy decks play a copy…
… but there seems to be another Universes Beyond character who also loves casting (other players'…) spells from exile, and that is pushing the price of this red sorcery: Nathan Drake, Treasure Hunter:

Nathan Drake is not out yet – he's coming in two weeks as part of the PlayStation Secret Lair Superdrop. But he's already proving quite popular: Players are theorycrafting with him, and often including a copy of Ensnared by the Mara in their early builds.

With the usual caveat that this is not investment advice (always do your own research, folks!), Gwen Stacy is proving both popular and strong enough to spin her webs in cEDH, so demand for her cards may keep strong.
Nathan Drake is a lot harder to say, given that he looks a tad… generic? “No offense to the Uncharted series, but Nathan Drake, Treasure Hunter‘s the least exciting new commander of the bunch,” wrote Tim last week when we reported about the PlayStation Secret Lair. “‘Grixis theft commander' isn't all that enticing, and half this textbox is just a rider that lets you use stolen cards in a way that makes sense.”
