Reality Fracture’s Multiverse Reforged precon contains a sneaky infinite combo utilizing two new creatures: Dack Fayden, Helping Hand and Venser, Fierce Forger, two reimagined version of iconic Magic characters. This game-winning infinite can happen as soon as turn 4 with the right draw!

Dack + Venser = Infinite Permanents

The combo relies on Dack’s odd group hug ability. First and foremost, though your opponent eventually get the permanents, they enter under your control, so you get the enters abilities. However, abilities triggered by Dack putting creatures into play cannot be put on the stack and cannot select targets until Dack’s triggered ability has fully resolved.

This means that when you get to put Venser, Fervent Forger’s ability on the stack and select targets, Venser itself is a permanent under an opponents control, making it a legal target. When you target it with the original enters ability, you’ll make two token copies of Venser.

While one token copy dies to the legend rule, you still get both enters abilities. Target Venser with one, and whatever permanent you want to copy with the second. Rinse and repeat to make infinite copies of permanents your opponents control, along with infinite creaturefall triggers and infinite death triggers. The easy win here is infinite hasty creatures but you could also copy mana rocks or lands for infinite mana.

I mentioned this combo can be done on turn 4. It takes luck, but let’s say this are your opening turns: you play a mana rock like Arcane Signet turn 2, a token generator like Lingering Souls on turn 3, and Jace, Multiverse Architect turn 4. You can use Jace’s polymorph ability to turn one of the tokens into something new. If that new permanent happens to be Dack Fayden, Helping Hand, which in turn flips Venser, Fervent Forger, you’ll get a great story.

Setting Up the Combo

The combo rests very heavily on luck as Multiverse Reforged has almost no deck manipulation. Brainstorm, Brainsurge, and the attack trigger on Restless Spire are the only cards that help establish the combo. Card order matters because the deck needs to play Dack, either fairly or by flipping it with a polymorph, then hit Venser as one of those three creatures Dack brings into play. Though this list lacks the means to regularly assemble the combo, you could always make a few tweaks.

Several tutors put cards on top of your library. Cards like Vampiric Tutor, Scheming Symmetry, and Insatiable Avarice can find Dack or ensure that once you have Dack in hand, Venser is one of your targets.

Additional top deck manipulation isn’t out of the question, either. Cards like Scroll Rack, Sensei's Divining Top, and Jace, the Mind Sculptor have great utility with polymorph effects. They can either set up your polymorph to reduce the chaos or you can put lands and other dead draws on top of your library and use a polymorph as a pseudo-shuffle effect to send them to the bottom of your library.

A few upgrades like these make assembling the Dack-Venser combo even easier. Heck, once you start fleshing out the tutor package, you could start upgrading with additional combo cards, like Hullbreaker Horror or Godo, Bandit Warlord, and make your opponents fear your polymorphs.
