Betor, Kin to All โ illus. Alexander Ostrowski
We covered price shakeups from the Mardu precon yesterday, so it only seems to fair to give the Abzan their due. The Abzan precon introduced the first new Commanders in the color trio since The Necrobloom. Felothar, the Steadfast and Betor, Ancestor's Voice. Both of these have been fairly popular so far, and may be driving price bumps on several cards.
Abzan Armor on the Market
Now to the meat and potatoes of this article! We've got five cards to cover for you today, each of which has seen movement that is likely due to Abzan Armor.
Earthquake Dragon

Earthquake Dragon fits well with many of the precon commanders, including Betor, Ancestor's Voice. If you are green and playing Dragons, it's pretty easy to get this on the cheap! Felothar, the Steadfast could also make use of this if you have a Dragon subtheme, as it's a pretty great creature to sacrifice to her third ability. As you can see in the graph above interest around Earthquake Dragon began to grow during Tarkir: Dragonstorm spoiler season, and has gradually climbed since.
Sapling of Colfenor

While Earthquake Dragon began rising as soon as spoiler season hit, Sapling of Colfenor only saw a dramatic spike a few days ago. She has incredible synergy with Betor, Ancestor's Voice, as there are very few other optimal cards that can cause you to both gain and lose life at the same time! It's also great that her attack trigger isn't tied to combat damage, as a 2/5 for 5 isn't exactly difficult to block.
MacCready, Lamplight Mayor

source: MTGstocks
MacCready, Lamplight Mayor has seen the biggest increase of all of today's cards, going from bulk last month to over $10! It's a great upgrade for the precon, and works especially well if you are keeping Felothar, the Steadfast in your lead slot. MacCready will effectively make all of your Bedrock Tortoises and other 0/X beaters unblockable. It can also go in Betor, Ancestor's Voice as another life gain effect, though it seems best with a toughness theme.
Wave of Reckoning

This old rare has incredible synergy for a toughness matters theme, often acting as a one sided board wipe. That could explain it recent spike , as Felothar, the Steadfast would love this. Betor, Ancestor's Voice loves it as well, so it could also be a fine inclusion in her 99.
Wall of Shards

Our last card for the day is a humble uncommon that works extremely well with Felothar, the Steadfast. In a Felothar deck, this is pretty much an 8/8 flier for 1W, which is an absurd rate! It's not seeing the most dramatic spike though, as it's always been a staple for toughness EDH decks. Wall of Shards also let's you engage in some minor politicking, as you'll have some free life to give away from its cumulative upkeep triggers. Betor, Ancestor's Voice, on the other hand, is unlikely to be interested in this one.
Wrap Up

source: Reddit
While it would be cool if r/bengals1975 was a diehard โI need 5 preconsโ kind of Abzan enjoyer, it appears that WotC has been screwing up some Tarkir: Dragonstorm precon bundles. Perhaps this is WotC's covert way of thrusting Abzan into the spotlight (very much joking here, although the deck is definitely excellent and is giving Abzan some much deserved shine).
These were the movers that caught our attention today, as each could be conceivably tied to Abzan Armor in some way. We'll have to see how the market progresses from this point, as โtoughness mattersโ is a rather well-supported theme with lots of other viable cards. See you next week!

Dont often get to try new big butts matter deck builds. And its nice to have a place to put some of those 1/5 cratures and have it feel like they matter which otherwise just get to collect dust.
