Whenever another Hero you control enters, it gains vigilance and haste until end of turn. Put a +1/+1 counter on that Hero and a +1/+1 counter on Captain America.
Is Avengers Assemble worth buying?
Avengers Assemble is a fairly prescriptive deck, but there’s nothing wrong with that. It means your heroes-or-bust synergy cards probably won’t have much of a home outside the deck, but it makes for a coherent precon experience.
Thematically, this is a fairly beginner-friendly deck, since the whole strategy is just playing creatures and attacking. However, the complexity and wordiness of the cards might detract from the new-player experience.
Overall, it’s just a solid precon, though the upgrade opportunities are mostly limited to other Marvel sets and all your usual typal payoffs. Strong out of the box, thematically consistent, and likely easy enough to pick up and learn. I’m team Avengers here.
How Avengers Assemble plays
Avengers Assemble is a Jeskai precon focused on the hero creature type. You’ve got none other than Captain America, Team Leader at the helm, paying you off for adding heroes to the board. Director Nick Fury is the backup commander, a card that makes heroes cheaper to cast and draws extra heroes as you attack. They cover each other’s bases nicely, though neither one is the fully package. You’ll need to choose whether you want to more proactive Captain America or the more value-driven Nick Fury.
This is a very combat-driven deck, with tons of attack triggers, saboteurs, and ways to punch through defenses. If you like turning things sideways, it’s the right fit for you.

Upgrading Avengers Assemble
You have a strong base to start, so my upgrade plan isn’t dramatic. Instead of reshaping the mana curve and trimming extraneous or under-supported themes, these upgrades increase the deck’s general card quality.
